Our Parish can be rightly proud of all our Catholic Schools. An enormous effort has been put into Catholic education over the years and our Parish has been the driving force behind the building of Mary MacKillop College Wakeley and the establishment of the Fairfield Cluster of Catholic Schools.

St Gertrude’s is located in Smithfield in south-western Sydney, within St Gertrude’s Parish. The school was opened in January 1952 by the Josephite Sisters and continues today to practise the values and traditions of Mary MacKillop, their foundress.
